Owner and Master Instructor Tommy Brown is a Certified Martial Arts Instructor with over 3 decades of training and teaching experience. As a Martial Arts Instructor Master Brown holds multiple Black Belt certifications, and has experience teaching age groups ranging from 3 years old to retirees. Master Brown currently holds a Fifth Degree Black Belt in Freestyle Karate, a Fifth Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, a First Degree Black Belt in Freestyle TKD and a First Degree Black Belt in MooDuKwan. 

 

For over 20 years Master Brown competed nationally on the NASKA and AKA professional competition circuits.  After 20 years and over 350 martial art tournaments Master Brown semi-retired from fighting in 2006.  It was also that year when Master Brown won the United States Open Nationals Grand Championship and was named Black Belt Fighter of the year.

 

After spending several years of teaching and managing Martial Art facilities for his instructors  ( 2 academy’s in Texas and 3 in Arizona)  Master Brown decided, in 2004, to open his first martial arts academy (IMPACT Freestyle Karate Centers) in Queen Creek Arizona. Taking the lessons taught to him by his instructors and mentors, Master Brown acquired a retail location and began the process of building the business. In the first two years IMPACT Freestyle Karate went from having no students to hundreds.
